Over the winter break we will be making some changes to the way that students (and anyone else with an @go.yccd.edu email address) access their email. Come January 1st, email will be accessed through the YCCD Login page (https://login.yccd.edu). Everyone should already have been instructed to create an account there and set up their security questions. If you have not done so already, we recommend that you do that now to help ease the transition.
If you are familiar with way you normally log into Outlook, you will experience only a slight change in the way things look and feel. See the screenshots below for what changes to expect (on desktop and mobile versions):
If you normally go directly to Outlook using the links like http://outlook.com/go.yccd.edu you will be redirected to a new login page (the versions on the right side of the above images) instead of the one you are used to (the versions of the left side of the above images). When you log in there you will use only your WebAdvisor ID (the first letter of your last name, plus your student ID, e.g. X0123456), instead of your email address. Once logged in, you’ll be redirected back to Outlook to access your email. This should only be a cosmetic change for existing users.
If you haven’t set up your account at the YCCD Login page, you will be directed to do that when you log in for the first time. You’ll be required to set up security questions and provide a personal email address so that your password can be recovered.
You’ll also have a new way to log into your email instead of using a link or typing the URL in directly. From the login page (https://login.yccd.edu) you will have a button that links you to your email that will sign you in automatically. It will look something like this:
This will also be the place you go if you want to change your password at any time.
If you have any issues with your email after this conversion process, please contact helpdesk: by email helpdesk@yccd.edu or by phone 530.741.6981
